About Me
I have worked in the behavioral health field for over 22 years, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I am a licensed mental health professional in Missouri, Maryland, and Colorado. I have been able to achieve diverse experience and various types of roles throughout my career, including providing clinical and executive leadership,. Additionally, I have been providing telehealth services and striving to improve access to quality behavioral health services across the country since 2015. I have committed myself to remaining up to date with current best practices and provide the effective treatment.
I received a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Lindenwood University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from McKendree University.
I am passionate about helping individuals of all backgrounds with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, ADHD, addiction, and trauma. I utilize primarily interpersonal therapy, cognitive, cognitive behavioral and trauma informed approaches in my practice. By working to understand the pervasive and subjective nature of trauma I am better able to promote an environment of healing and recovery. Utilizing evidence based approaches, I will strive to help you in areas such as improving your mood, reducing distress, managing anxiety, improving interpersonal relationships, enhancing social functioning, improving communication and conflict resolution, enhancing capacity for interpersonal relationships, and generally improving your ability to cope effectively. I often find that examining the connection between how you think, how you feel, and how you behave leads to identifying the keys to positive change.
